News

Unfortunately, not having had confirmation from Claudia Caballero about her presentation tomorrow morning, we assume that Panel 9 starts at 11:30 and has only two presentations.
There is no 4th presentation in either Zoom sessions (Ruddick, Miteva and Moreno are not present). Sorry for those waiting to join those.
We have created a very brief feedback form for every presentation. Please help us and everybody improve by filling it in for the presentations you saw, online and on-site. Click the link in the title here. Thank you!
Follow https://twitter.com/ramics_asso and use the hashtag #ramics_asso - For instant communications between participants during the conference we propose a Signal Group-Chat. Join at https://signal.group/#CjQKIB0xc59QdM3UbGMRpBOEYrp5fEtJRGTaq6elTSAcD7WnEhAapuWJboKdiGs_Lf5RSUSM Please mind that this is NOT for organisational questions to the organisers! :)
The final program is now published on the website. (Only change at the moment is that the presentation by Ruzzene in Zoom-Session C was replaced by Toncheva/Stoyanov). See: Overview the Congress > Final Program
Dear participants and presenters of the 6th RAMICS conference, Tomorrow we will meet, in person or virtually, in Sofia! Here are some last points of information and guidance for all to have a smooth and fruitful event: ZOOM: All of you will receive an invitation from “Zoom events” this afternoon to register and join the conference online. Please check that the email you receive this message on is also the one you use on our zoom account! If not, let us know which email you use there. “Zoom Events” provides a single webpage, from which you will be able to join the individual sessions and our virtual “networking-space” (called “Expo”). Ask google for tutorials if you are not familiar with Zoom events or need help. Even if you are coming to Sofia, please register for the Zoom event so that you can join and interact online from your own device (please bring a headset). Online presenters and hosts please join your sessions 15 min early, and do technical checks beforehand. We cannot grant extra time for technical issues once the session has started. Presenters on-site: You cannot connect our own laptops for your presentations, so please bring your PowerPoint slides on a USB drive, and include a PDF copy for emergency use. Arriving at the venue: If you choose to take a taxi from the airport, please ask at the official “OK Taxi” desk inside the arrival hall. Prices directly at vehicles outside might vary hugely. The most direct access to the event is from the West-entrance of the university, pinned on google-maps here. You can also follow the posters from the main entrance of UNWE. Please join us for our welcome brunch from 10:30. All abstracts and the submitted full-text papers are now available from the conference website. We will publish last-minute changes and updates in the NEWS section there. We are looking forward to our time together here in Sofia! Have a safe journey, Your RAMICS 6th organizing committee
Please find links to download collections of abstracts and submitted papers on the proceedings page of this website (link above, or in main menu: Overview of the Congress - Conference Proceedings)
Research on Community and Complementary Currencies: Submissions to the 6th RAMICS conference in Sofia, Bulgaria, in October 2022 are still possible. After the previous call were made aware of some misunderstandings. In consequence the deadline for abstracts has now been extended until July 4th, 8 a.m. We would like to clarify the following: • The congress will be hybrid: participation is possible both in person AND online (via Zoom), the latter at a reduced fee (from 50€). • The congress is open for academia, practitioners and policymakers, all invited to share their latest insights. • For researchers, presentations of their findings are possible for both published and unpublished articles. • For practitioners reporting on their ongoing projects, the abstracts submitted under Theme 5 (“Review and Renew”) will not be judged by scientific criteria and will be accepted until Sept 15th. • You do not need to become a member of RAMICS to participate in the congress. • Presenters will be invited to submit new versions of their work to the research journal associations with RAMICS: The International Journal of Community Currency Research (IJCCR). But publishing in that journal is neither required nor guaranteed for papers presented at the congress. The full call for papers, general information about the Congress and updates can be found on the congress website, on Facebook, or get in touch at ramics@unwe.bg.
Two special awards are to be presented during the 6th RAMICS Congress in the following categories:  Best paper - determined by a jury and  Best presentation – voted by participants during the Congress
